How will you determine the final pipeline route?
– Landowners, community and First Nations leaders
When we apply for project approval from the regulatory authorities, the Project team will propose a detailed route based on a combination of factors, such as environmental and social sustainability, archaeological and cultural values, land use compatibility, public safety, constructibility and economics.
In certain areas our conceptual route is similar to other proposed pipelines also destined for the Kitimat area. Where it makes sense, a common pipeline corridor can be beneficial.
The development of our route proposal will continue through 2013, as we engage communities and develop a thorough assessment of environmental, engineering and socioeconomic issues.
