TransCanada is investing in a partnership with the Fraser Lake Fire Department to contribute towards a new rescue truck. These funds would be used to augment monies committed by the Village to build a properly outfitted truck that would adequately serve the residents of Fraser Lake for the next twenty years. The new rescue truck will continue to provide emergency response to all types of emergency callouts in Fraser Lake. It will respond to medical emergencies, and motor vehicle crashes within the municipal boundaries and outlying rural areas. It also will act as a support vehicle in responses to fire events.
“The Fraser Lake Fire Rescue will be better equipped to provide emergency rescue services to the residents of Fraser Lake and the surrounding area. Faster, more effective and safer responses are a win-win for firefighters and residents alike. This partnership demonstrates the significant interest TransCanada has in the area and its commitment toward communities in the region.”
