Will the pipeline be buried under the ground? How many compressor stations will be constructed?
— Community leaders and guests at information sessions
The pipeline will be buried at a depth of about a metre.
The project will include the construction of some above-ground facilities. For example, meter stations measure the volume of natural gas moving through the pipeline. Compressor stations are used to increase the gas pressure to transport the gas through the pipeline.
It is expected that the pipeline will require one compressor station at the start of operations. As many as seven could be added along the corridor in the future, depending on the volumes of natural gas to be shipped.
