The partnership with TransCanada and the Peace Region Paleontology Research Centre enables the continuation of the summer educational program “the Dinosaur Camps for children”. These camps introduce hundreds of children to the exciting pre-history of British Columbia and take part in activities that take place at real dinosaur track sites near Tumbler Ridge.
“Tumbler Ridge and the Peace Region benefit from this partnership as it allows for the development of economic diversification in the Peace Region in the form of tourism. The current aspiration to develop a Global Geopark in the Peace Region centered on Tumbler Ridge is dependent on the continued operation of this museum and its programs including the Dinosaur Camps.”
