TransCanada donation supports driver training

TransCanada is helping to supply an important need for the Northern B.C. workforce with support for the creation of a new NWCC Class 5 Driver Training program for rural and remote communities. The funding, provided to Northwest Community College, will be used to establish a new graduated driver’s license training program, and the purchase of a specialized vehicle to deliver the training. Students in remote communities have long indicated that not having a driver’s license has created a significant barrier to employment. Through this support, Northwest Community College is investing in students and programs that meet this need in the communities it serves.
