Coastal GasLink is proud to support local northern B.C. communities now and throughout the life of the Project to become strong, vibrant and sustainable.

Recently, Coastal GasLink partnered with the Fraser Lake Fire Department and the Northern Development Initiative Trust to purchase a new fire truck for the community. This latest addition will ensure the community has access to modern technology and the latest safety features, making it easier for their fire fighters and emergency responders to protect lives and property in times of need.

The addition of the new fire truck has allowed the Fraser Lake Fire Department to retire one of their older engines, helping to ensure reliable, sustainable emergency service in the area.

Coastal GasLink has been a big supporter of the fire department, but also our community as a whole. Since the project started, they’ve been with us all the way and it’s a good feeling to know that Coastal GasLink is a member of our community,”

Spanning vast geographies and epic mountain terrain, the communities across the 670 km project route face unique challenges. Most recently, record-breaking heat and drier than normal conditions have led to devastating wildfires across B.C. Supporting the invaluable work of emergency and first responders, including fire fighters, is a crucial component in our emergency response preparedness plans. Without their brave efforts, damage caused by natural disasters and accidents could be detrimental.
