November construction update

Posted by Coastal GasLink

Thank you for helping us create the extraordinary

With Coastal GasLink achieving mechanical completion earlier this month, ahead of schedule, commissioning activities are in full swing so that we are poised to deliver commissioning gas to the LNG Canada facility by the end of this year.

These accomplishments mark the end of the project’s five-year construction phase, during which time our workers, contractors, Indigenous and local communities collaborated to complete Canada’s first pipeline to the west coast in 70 years.

This November, we release our final construction update that pays homage to all those who led with their values of safety and respect to complete construction of the 670-kilometre best in class pipeline, with one of the best safety records in the industry.

While construction is complete, work continues in the form of reclamation, which will be followed by a five-year post-construction monitoring program, to ensure that reclamation efforts are successful.

We are also steadily advancing our operational readiness, which ensures that the pipe is ready to safely receive and transport natural gas when we shift into operations.

We encourage you to stay up to date by visiting our website, subscribing to updates and following us on X (Twitter), Facebook and Instagram. We will continue to provide updates through subscriptions, email notifications and on our website, as needed.
